Who We Are
The Ministro Foundation is a Youth-centric, Secular and Not-for-Profit organisation founded by Samuel Prabhakar and Gnanaraj Sadacharam in 2012 and based in Chennai. MINISTRO is a Latin word meaning to serve, to help, to assist. And we are here to do just that. To serve, help and assist in order to build individuals, families, communities and society.
The Ministro Foundation specially works with vulnerable and most vulnerable youth and getting them involved in activities that help them to overcome physical, mental and behavioral challenges. We do this by working with communities and institutions to identify youth at risk. Using our research, we develop and deliver programmes, and stand up for our young people.
We do that through what we call, the 3 E’s:
Effect new opportunities
Enable the building of individuals and society
A world where people live as responsible citizens being part of the global community and contributing towards its well-being
To build today’s youth by helping, guiding and instilling in them the importance of education, character, livelihood, health and social responsibility, in order to be responsible citizens of tomorrow
OUR CORE VALUES
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Build. Prepare the road. Remove the obstacles out of the way of people.
It’s not what you have. But how you help others, with what you have, that matters.
You cannot take anything when your life ends. But you can leave a lot behind.

What We Do
Youth of today’s India, who are custodians of tomorrow’s family, society and our Nation, are most often getting misguided in their career choice and end up in jobs which they are not interested in and not suitable to them. It makes them bad employees and their best skills and potential is not properly utilised and wasted.
By the time they realise about their wrong choice of profession, sadly, many other career options are closed for them at that stage. This leads them to frustration, bad habits, financial problems and family issues. Many of the social, economic and political concerns we are facing today is a result of this situation.
Our programmes address the root-cause of this situation. Young people from 9th to 12th/PUC students, college students and working young people and dropouts are part of this programme. We have developed our own assessment tool to help young people choose their suitable career.
Since beginning, Ministro has worked in cooperation with like-minded organizations and Institutions to develop and Implement programmes and activities jointly to break the cutural barriers.
The organizations that we choose to partner with are like minded and have demonstrated a community-centered approach and has a vision to support young men & women. Through these partnerships we focus on improving Youth Education, Create Awareness and Implant necessary Skills for the youth.
